Last weekend I discovered Shazam and I’m so pumped because this free app is totally going to improve my collection of workout music.
My sister-in-law and I were sitting around the camp fire sharing favorite running songs. While I was making notes of songs I didn’t have on the notepad app on my iphone, my sister-in-law kept pointing her phone at mine. When I asked what she was doing she said, “I’m shazaming this song.” What?!
Shazam is this awesome free app that can identify the title and artist of a song with a push of a button. When you hear a song you like you just press the Shazam button on your iphone and after a few seconds the app will tell you the name of the song and who sings it. After Shazam identifies the tune it gives you the option to purchase the song in iTunes, share it with a friend through social media and tag it. Tagging a song is cool because Shazam builds your own personal music library by archiving all the songs you tag.
So when you are in the mall or driving in a car and really love that song playing but have no idea what the name of it is or who sings it, you can “Shazam” it and find out! My fitness instructors always play the best music but I never know the songs and I am too embarrassed to ask. Now with Shazam I can find out!
Shazam is a free app for IPhone, IPod Touch, IPad, Android and other devices. You have to check it out!
